We are looking for a motivated University Admissions Counselor to oversee the SW Orange County, CA territory in this work-from-home opportunity. Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that allows you to increase your earning potential upon the completion of each year-long recruitment cycle. Role location: SW Orange County, CA area (remote/work-from-home in that territory). Responsibilities
Has a servant’s heart. You’ll host and implement event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness of our academic programs and campus community, driving inquiry generation. Through a variety of mediums, you will provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families. Whether in-person, over the phone, via email, text or Zoom, you will champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth. Hustles. You’ll connect with community college students, faculty and staff in local community colleges and engage all major stakeholders in your territory, while maintaining a full schedule that includes fairs, school visits, presentations, community/campus events and campus visits. Bleeds purple. You’ll be the face of Grand Canyon University in your territory and promote our transformation as part of our community. Is purposeful. This is a work-from-home role with ambitious targets. Working independently, you’ll use critical thinking to support prospective Grand Canyon University campus students and families through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path toward a successful campus experience. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree. No delinquent or default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current on payments. Outstanding time management and organization skills. Able to wear many hats, manage priorities, and travel as needed. Clear communication and engaging presentation skills. Comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone with well-developed listening skills. Self-motivation and drive to succeed. You’ll take ownership of your time with GCE and strive to make a difference. High emotional intelligence. You’ll coach a diverse range of students and families and maintain relationships with community colleges and staff. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, flexible schedule, and willingness to travel. Some events may occur in evenings or weekends; expect 1–3 trips per month for non-Phoenix residents. Computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and use of digital tools for remote work. Bonus Points If You Have
