Overview
QAS LLC, dba Valvoline Instant Oil Change, is expanding, and we’re looking for a Marketing Specialist – New Store Growth to help drive customer acquisition and brand awareness for our rapidly growing new stores. This role will partner closely with both our Marketing and Operations teams to design and execute marketing plans that reflect the unique characteristics of each new store and its surrounding community. The ideal candidate brings energy, creativity, and strategic thinking to ensure that every new store launch feels local, authentic, and impactful.
Responsibilities
Market Research & Insights
Analyze new store locations, including competitive landscape, demographics, and community values.
Provide recommendations on marketing tactics aligned with the store’s unique context.
Build tailored marketing plans for new store launches.
Recommend tactics including local sponsorships, social media influencer campaigns, and digital advertising (display, paid social, etc.).
Campaign Execution
Manage and implement marketing strategies in collaboration with agency partners, local vendors, and community organizations.
Coordinate sponsorship activations, influencer engagements, and digital campaigns.
Monitor, analyze, and provide recommendations for optimizations of marketing efforts to ensure effectiveness and ROI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Operations to align store opening timelines and community needs.
Partner with the Marketing team to ensure campaigns reflect Valvoline’s brand standards and growth goals.
Local Marketing Implementation
Engage directly with the community (affiliate marketing, coupon distribution, etc.) around new stores to drive trial.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field OR 3+ years of professional marketing experience.
Experience with local marketing campaigns, influencer outreach, sponsorships, or digital advertising strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build partnerships.
Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple store launches simultaneously.
Self-motivated, high-energy, and passionate about driving growth at the local level.
Role will require travel to new stores, up to 50% in months with multiple openings.
