Educational aide certificate.
Experience working with children
Ability to interact positively with parents and staff.
Must be highly qualified according to ESEA requirements.
REPORT TO Building Principal
JOB GOALS To aid in the implementation of the educational process.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES To be assigned by the building principal in any combination of the following areas: Activities may include the following or other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal:
Supervision of students
Tutoring of students
Testing students
Miscellaneous classroom duties assigned by the principal
Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel and provisions of the bargaining unit.
Additional Working Conditions
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
Excellent observation and communication skills
May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
Assisting students with behavioral/management needs
Frequent evening and/or weekend work
