FreshDirect Express Outbound Team Lead PM (Manhattan) The Outbound Team Leader is responsible for the Outbound Team’s daily operations. The Outbound Team Leader has a mastery of all outbound functions (pick, checkout, and trip build). The Outbound Lead balances performing all outbound functions as needed—and at an expert level—with coaching associates and refining processes.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop the strengths of outbound associates

Provide coaching to outbound associates based on observations and hourly and daily reports

Resolve conflicts among associates, or escalate appropriately

Conduct daily Outbound huddles and translate stated goals into actions for your team

Understand, and maintain awareness of, business metrics for individuals in the outbound team

Analyze productivity reports to manage area-specific capacity and move labor between outbound functions

Perform all outbound functions as needed, at an expert level

Perform regular quality and safety audits in your work area

Contribute to written End of Shift (EOS) Recaps for your area(s)

Count and order operational inventory: checkout bags, bag bottoms, gloves, rubber bands, pick carts, trip building rolling racks, delivery totes

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more

Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling

Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching

Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights

Constant exposure to temperatures: -10 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing to refrigerators)

Ability to work in a wet and cold environment

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery

Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed

Education and Qualifications

6+ months experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or food processing environment

Expert ability in all outbound functions

Demonstrated comfort with arithmetic and basic data analysis

Demonstrated listening skills and ability to give feedback firmly and compassionately

Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly in English

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Note: The pay rate for this role is $19.00 per hour.
