Role: Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Architect

Vaco has partnered in the search for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Architect to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics solutions supporting manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and finance operations.
This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology‑translating operational needs into scalable ERP solutions that streamline processes and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to design end‑to‑end Dynamics 365 F&O solutions.
Configure and optimize key modules across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, Project Management, and Finance.
Develop detailed solution designs, including data mapping, workflows, configurations, and minimal customizations.
Oversee integrations with other enterprise systems using APIs, Power Platform tools, or middleware (e.g., SSIS).
Create and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to D365.
Partner closely with IT, business users, and third‑party teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Provide guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and best practices.
Build and present prototypes or demos to validate design concepts with stakeholders.
Support ongoing improvements and serve as a subject‑matter expert on D365 capabilities and roadmap.
Qualifications
7‑10 years of experience implementing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX).
Strong understanding of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Finance modules.
Experience working in Agile project environments.
Hands‑on experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure DevOps, and SQL.
Proven ability to lead design sessions, manage stakeholders, and translate complex business needs into functional solutions.
Experience with data migration, middleware integrations (e.g., SSIS), and security role design.
