We’re looking for a Territory Manager to lead EP strategy within an assigned territory, drive sales growth and profitability, and coordinate teams to support ablation procedures using Abbott EP products. What You’ll Work On
Lead the EP strategy within an assigned territory to achieve planned objectives for sales volume, market penetration, and profitability. Coordinate activities of Direct Sales Representatives, Clinical Specialists, and Associates to support ablation procedures using Abbott EP products. Be fully accountable for performance metrics related to quality, compliance, cost, and delivery within the territory. Lead, facilitate, and direct quarterly business plan meetings and annual performance reviews for direct reports. Manage profitability and continuously improve operating expenses as a percentage of sales while increasing revenue per head. Call on physicians, medical laboratories, hospitals, and hospital management to sell Abbott USD medical devices in the territory. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director to grow new business, maintain existing business, and assess opportunities territory-wide. May coordinate with the Regional Sales Director to hire, promote, and develop employees in the territory. Exercise judgment in planning and organizing work, monitor performance, report status, and ensure compliance with Abbott USD policies and practices. Utilize best practices to achieve region and company goals and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities (selected)
Supervise direct reports and selling activity within the assigned territory. Coordinate ablation schedules for Direct Sales Representatives and Clinical Specialists. Engage with hospital management, physicians, and others to influence purchasing decisions and address questions and concerns. Participate in the contracting process of company products. Provide information and training to medical professionals on product usage and conduct staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting. Abide by HIPAA rules to maintain patient privacy in all business activities. Manage trunk stock within the territory and collaborate with the Research Team on studies. Analyze sales statistics, prepare business plans, and perform administrative sales duties (e.g., expense reports, travel planning, Salesforce contracts). Attend trade shows and conferences to discuss product developments and network with peers. Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of EP or CRM sales experience. Comprehensive understanding of Electrophysiology. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent with extensive sales experience, including medical devices. Working knowledge of domestic regulations relevant to the medical device industry. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills; ability to work in a matrixed, geographically diverse environment. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, and other stakeholders. Willingness to meet vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination. For accommodations, contact HR. Preferred Qualifications
Engineering degree is highly preferred. Advanced credential in a relevant discipline; professional certification or designation. Experience in a broader enterprise/cross-division model. Compensation and Benefits
