Work with BU/COE managers, practice leaders, and market leaders on creating an annual desired goal and required result budget Analyze budget vs. actual revenue and expenditures and work with leadership to manage to budgets Provide BU/COE leadership with financial information vital to the decision-making process Prepare and present monthly Project Manager Performance (PMP) reports to BU/COE leadership, DEA’s president, and CFO Track BU/COE key metrics and provide monthly YTD results to BU/COE leadership teams Prepare a rolling 12-month revenue forecasting for the BU/COE and work with Project Managers (PMs) and Market Leaders (MLs) on monthly updates Prepare and present a proforma monthly forecast for the BU/COE and work with their leadership team for the monthly final forecast Work with BU/COE leaders and Operation leaders to monitor advanced bill (AB) pick-ups, write-offs, significant unbilled and accounts receivable, and write-offs Assist other financial analysts to balance workflow Analyze actual results, identify problems and trends, and recommend solutions or leverage points Work closely with the GL accounting team on monthly financial statements and with the project accounting group on project accounting issues for their BUs/COE Provide ad hoc financial diagnosis to the BU/COE general manager and others as appropriate within the BU/COE Support DEA’s Business Development (BD) corporate group with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting Support DEA’s Alternative Project Delivery (APD) corporate group with annual budgeting, and participate in the APD coordination team to improve APD project profitability Assist with the companywide budgeting process, including gathering and entering fixed costs into Adaptive, setting targets, and QC budgets Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate financial data to support business decisions Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software (e.g., Excel, Adaptive, Power BI, or similar) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Effective collaboration and communication skills across financial and non-financial teams Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field Experience supporting professional-services organizations such as engineering, architecture, or construction firms Familiarity with project-based accounting or multi-office financial reporting structures What We Offer / Benefits
