Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Collections Analyst to manage accounts receivable and ensure timely payment of invoices. This role provides short-term support to the finance team, focusing on analyzing customer accounts, resolving payment issues, negotiating terms, and reducing delinquency rates. The Collections Analyst will collaborate with internal teams to maintain cash flow and improve processes. Attention to detail, strong organization, and effective communication are essential. This is a 3–6 month contract position, with the potential to extend based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
Communicate with customers to resolve overdue payments and negotiate terms.
Assess credit risk and recommend appropriate credit limits.
Investigate and resolve billing disputes and payment delays.
Generate reports on collection activities and present findings to management.
Recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
