KeyResponsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour on-site coverage for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases, inpatient rounding, and emergency consults.
- Perform and manage a range of procedures including:
- Aneurysm Repair
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Heart Valve Replacement
- Participate in call coverage as scheduled.
- Collaborate with cardiac care teams, anesthesiologists, and intensivists to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Review and document patient care in Epic EMR in compliance with hospital standards.
- Deliver expert intraoperative and postoperative care, ensuring quality outcomes and patient safety.

- Shift Type: 24-hour shifts (7a-7a)
- Coverage Dates: November 27-30, 2025, and December 25-28, 2025
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- On-Call Requirements: Yes
- Setting: Inpatient hospital and operating room coverage
- Procedures Required: CABG, Aneurysm Repair, Heart Valve Replacement
- EMR: Epic
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Surgery
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiovascular Surgery
- Active and unrestricted South Carolina medical license (required - no exceptions)
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
