Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their manufacturing facility near St. Louis MO. This is a Climate Controlled facility. The position is Night Shift, working 7p - 7a on a 3-2-2-3 schedule. The Supervisor will oversee manufacturing activities concerned with production of company products & direct / coordinate a team of 20+ operators in a high speed, automated packaging manufacturing facility. This candidate will be responsible for the overseeing & maintaining goals of machine production, quality, waste, plant safety, and cleanliness. Coordinate routine maintenance checks of machines for preventative maintenance and repairs needed and writes maintenance work orders if necessary to ensure efficient operation of machinery. Communication of production schedules established by Production Planner with previous and following shift. Monitor and track daily attendance of all employees on shift. Check unavailable roll stock report on a daily basis Conducts monthly safety and quality meetings with employees. Oversees and maintain upkeep of production equipment Communicates with Customer Service Department to answer questions on production capabilities. Assists operators when needed in maintaining and adjusting equipment. Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality in ones’ area of responsibility and continually monitor them to ensure they are effective. Qualifications College degree preferable 3+ years’ experience in packaging manufacturing or related field,: preference for Pulp/Paper, Plastic Films, Cardboards, Cartons, Pouches, Bags, etc. Previous Shift Lead / Supervisor Experience in Manufacturing Possess good knowledge of GMP's & Safety Principles Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to all levels of the organization Good organizational skills Ability to multi-task & work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Manufacturing, Production, and Management Industries Packaging and Containers Manufacturing, Paper and Forest Product Manufacturing, and Plastics and Rubber Product Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
