Overview The Manufacturing Engineer works with engineering and production to develop, document and improve capable manufacturing methods utilizing machines, materials, and workforce to improve the manufacturing of STULZ Air Technology Systems products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate process control objectives and activities to resolve production problems and minimize cost
Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency
Study operations sequence, material flow, cell layouts, and project information to identify and eliminate waste
Develop manufacturing methods and labor utilization standards to eliminate time and material waste
Develop and conduct training
Develop and document standard work
Perform physical changes to production layout
Design and conduct physical plant changes, jigs, and fixtures
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Duties and Responsibilities listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additionally, the following knowledge and experience are desirable:
Experience in production, optimization and training of manufacturing processes such as assembly, piping, and wiring
Knowledge of technology and materials used in the above processes
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma Methodologies
Knowledge of SAP manufacturing software
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other drafting software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Self-motivated
Ability to keep a positive attitude when under pressure
Education/Experience Associate’s degree in engineering and 4 years experience in related manufacturing processes
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4 years experience in related manufacturing processes
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
Language Skills Ability to read and understand English instructions
Mathematical Skills Ability to read and understand English instructions
