Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer I develops and improves factory processes, focusing on assembly, fabrication, paint, or facility projects. Responsibilities include maintaining production capability, enhancing quality, reducing costs, ensuring safety, and maximizing throughput.
What you will Do:
Design and Process Improvement
Develop new and improve existing production areas.
Participate in core teams, design processes, research best practices, involve shop personnel, perform cost analysis, draw layouts, and obtain approvals.
Implement process changes such as Engineering Change Notices, tooling requirements, routing creation, deviations, tool work orders, Kanban, time studies, and operator training.
Maintenance and Documentation
Process tool replacements.
Maintain routing.
Perform safety reviews.
Train machine operators.
Conduct time studies.
ISO Functions
Update OMS.
Implement corrective actions.
Resolve manufacturing and safety issues.
Coordinate with specialists as needed.
Document processes outside normal optimization.
Production Maximization
Utilize current tooling and personnel efficiently to maximize production without compromising quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or similar discipline.
Minimum of 1 year of Manufacturing Engineering experience; 3 years preferred.
Understanding of production processes.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in CAD, Word, Excel, and Access.
