Job Details:
• Coverage includes clinic, on-call, and OR time with a minimum of 1 week per month commitment
• Weekly schedule: Monday-Tuesday GI procedures all day; Wednesday AM procedures/PM clinic; Thursday-Friday clinic all day (8:30-5:00 with unpaid lunch break)
• On-call coverage Monday-Sunday nights
• Average 15 patient encounters per shift
• Required skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
• Preferred skills include foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, ERCP (diagnostic), PEG placement, esophageal dilation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid), colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision, endoscopic ultrasound, liver biopsy, and insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
• Must maintain active New Mexico medical license or IMLC
• Board certification eligible with ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-45 days
• Level 3 trauma facility
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
