Locum Tenens - AnesthesiologyLocation: Waterloo, IowaLicense: Active IA License or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)Start Date: January/February 2026 Schedule & Availability
  • Full-time preferred, but 2 weeks/month minimum required
  • Weekdays: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekends: Call only (1st, 2nd, and 3rd call rotation)
  • 1st call is activated 75% of the time
  • Nights: Call every 3-4 days
  • Clinic: None Practice Details
    • Group: 6 Physicians, 2 CRNAs
    • OR Rooms: 13
    • Department Volume: 30-50 cases/day (total)
    • Supervision: Some supervision of CRNAs
    • EMR: EPIC (as of May 2025)
    Patient Population & Procedures
    • OB: Yes (includes TOLAC)
    • Pediatrics: Yes (mostly tonsils and adenoids)
    • General Anesthesia: Yes
    • Conscious Sedation: Required
    • No hearts or neurosurgery
    Requirements
    • Board Certification: Required (No BE)
    • Licensure: IA license or IMLC (with LOQ at name clear)
    • Certifications: ACLS (can be obtained during credentialing)
    • Call Coverage: Required
    • Minimum Availability: 2 weeks per month
