The Salisbury VA Medical Center is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our team! Position Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA policy.
- Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
- Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
- Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Preferred experience in treating medical retina conditions with anti-VEGF therapies, basic glaucoma, and cataracts.

- Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, and regular salary increases.
- Paid Time Off: days of paid time off per year (including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a possible five-day paid absence for CME).

- Licensure: One full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory.
- CME: Possible reimbursement of $1,000 per year (must be full-time with board certification).

- Contract: No physician employment contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.
