Critical Care Physician Assistant - Pennsylvania - No Call
Block-scheduled CVICU opportunity in Hershey, Pennsylvania, at a leading academic medical center with advanced cardiac technology and intensivist support.
Highlights
- 3 shifts per week (13 hours each)
- Block scheduling for long stretches off
- Level I Trauma Center, 30-bed cardiovascular ICU
- No call required
Practice Setting
- Inpatient CVICU within a major academic hospital
- Support from two APPs per shift and full intensivist team
- Dedicated rounding assignments, no cross-coverage
- Cerner charting system
Schedule
- Shifts are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Includes weekends and major holidays
- Consistent need through March 2026
Procedures and Cases
- VA and VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant management
- Arterial and central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP removal
- Postoperative care and daily rounding for critically ill cardiac patients
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC not accepted)
- Board Certified in Critical Care
- ACLS and BLS required
- Prior CVICU experience with advanced cardiac support devices
