Job Description: About us Green Tree Montessori is a small school with a tight knit community located on a beautiful wooded lot in Kirkwood, Missouri. We are a team of professional educators who strive to give the very best to the children at our school. Our school serves children from the ages of 6 months through Kindergarten. We treat all children with respect and allow each individual child to reach their full potential. Our school offers a beautiful clean work environment and a strong staff culture. As an assistant preschool teacher at Green Tree Montessori School, you will encourage fun and exploration in our beautiful indoor/ outdoor setting. This position is for support in the late day and the hours will be from 3:00-5:30pm. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children and a commitment to providing a high-quality, Montessori-based educational environment. Responsibilities: Keeping the children safe is your utmost priority Preparing and maintaining a clean, orderly, and attractive Montessori environment. Meeting the individual's needs of the children with care and compassion Leading a small group of children in different activities like story reading Interacting affectionately and respectfully with children Guiding children in self-directed, meaningful activities. Communicating effectively with children, parents, and staff. Qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus. Experience working with children Experience in a Montessori environment or willingness to learn. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
