Overview BI Data Analyst role at Apex Systems Responsibilities Developing, debugging, assessing and monitoring quality of reporting Investigating data anomalies, reporting upstream issues, and uncovering areas for improvement Leading ongoing reviews of requirements, roadmaps, and developing optimization strategies Creating and maintaining documentation on reporting requirements, metric definitions, etc. Effectively communicate findings to teammates and stakeholders Gathering feedback and action items from meetings and translate into tickets / team notes Ensuring data integrity is maintained throughout the release of new product features by testing and monitoring data alongside test groups both pre and post launch Managing multiple projects, developing plans, and monitoring performance Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects Querying / combining / analyzing data to answer business questions Top Required Skills 3+ years of experience Strong SQL and database query skills; experience with HQL ideally Be able to write complex queries from scratch to aggregate data Tableau experience preferred, some visualization required (Power BI, SSRS, etc.) Strong analysis skills: basic statistics and critical thinking/problem solving Experience working with stakeholders to understand data needs for business decisions Strong communication and collaboration Ability to help others when needed rather than only delegating Nice to have Linux Networking background Shell, Bash, or Python scripting AWS: S3, Lambda, EMR Git or Gitlab Job Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Research, Analyst, and Information Technology Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting EEO and Benefits Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
