Job Description Position Purpose: Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies to minimize shrinkage. A Head Cashier supports Cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions, and managing markdowns across registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, and Tool Rental. They handle escalated customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including new Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of cashier experience.
