Closing Date: 10/31/2025 The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for an Office Clerk III (12 months) supporting the main office at Canal View Elementary School.

Candidates must be eligible for appointment as Office Clerk III, as per the rules and regulations of the Monroe County Department of Human Resources and Civil Service.

Job Description:

This position provides essential administrative support to the building principal and serves as a point of contact for students, families, and visitors. This role manages office operations including calendar coordination, phone and email communications, and student information systems. Responsibilities include maintaining confidential records, processing daily employee attendance and substitute coverage, coordinating meetings and facility requests, supporting student needs, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the office. The ideal candidate will be organized, tech-savvy, and skilled at multitasking in a dynamic educational environment.

Required Credentials:

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma plus EITHER: (A) Successful completion of at least thirty (30) credit hours from a college or university; OR, (B) One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR, (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above. * Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.

Successful experience in a professional office environment, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Highly skilled in computer applications, Highly organized with exemplary time management skills

Work Year:

12-month assignment; 7.5 hours per day, 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Starting Date:

As soon as possible.

Salary/Rate of Pay:

$17.02 - $19.57 per hour, based upon previous experience; comprehensive benefits package; sick, family, personal, paid holidays, NAOEP Professional Standards Program payments and NYS pension.
