Weekend Premium $4.50/hour Per Diem Premium 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits) Lead $3.25/hour JOB DESCRIPTION:
The OR Endoscopy Support Assistant is responsible for case preparation activities in the Operating Rooms and Endoscopy Rooms, including "picking cases", pulling supplies, and staging rooms with equipment and furniture. This position works with the specialty service representative(s) and department management and their designees to ensure preference cards and picklists are kept up to date, and supplies and equipment required for the day-to-day operations of the department are present and available as needed for surgical/endoscopy procedures.
The OR Endoscopy Support Assistant facilitates daily operations of the operating room and Endoscopy Suites by performing patient transports throughout the hospital to include inpatient units and Short Stay, by assisting in staging, and room turnover activities.
The OR Endoscopy Support Assistant participates in tasks that help to maintain the tidiness of the departments under the direction of Surgical Services Leadership and/or designee to include but not limited to general housekeeping of various supply and equipment rooms throughout the two departments (Endo/OR), damp dusting shelves, cupboards, and horizontal surfaces, rotation and reorganization of supplies.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
OR
1 year of Central Sterile Technician or Central Services experience preferred.
Computer skills such as EMR, Word, Excel, and Lawson preferred. LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
BLS required within 30 days of hire.
