Certified Nurse Aide
Sign-on bonus is $3,000 for Full time and $1,500 for Part time!
Schedule/Openings:
1st shift- 7am to 3:30pm, rotating weekends
2nd shift- 3pm to 11:30pm, rotating weekends
3rd shift- 11pm to 7:30am, rotating weekends

Position Summary: Provide quality nursing care to residents in an environment which promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Learn and know individualized care plans for residents and provide services to resident according to care plan. * Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs. * Lift, move, and transport residents. * Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services. * Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units. * Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures. * Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel. * Answer resident's requests for service promptly. * Perform various tasks including vital signs, resident's weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc. * Float between all units depending on the need. * Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Communicates effectively and tactfully, while recognizing age, cultural orientation, needs, abilities and physical condition, while using appropriate interventions. * Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees. * Well organized and attentive to detail. * Practice the highest standards of ethics, honesty, and accuracy. * Ability to work independently, as an effective team member and manage time productively. * Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the Care Center, its residents and employees. * Proficient interpersonal relations. * Reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. * Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Education, Training, Experience:
* In progress or completion of HS Diploma or GED. * Previous related experience or training preferred, especially caring for the elderly with memory loss. * Participates in learning and development opportunities. * Attends all required in-service training and departmental meetings.
Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications:
* Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements. * Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.
Nonessential Responsibilities:
* Meet on-going requirements to maintain current certified nurse assistant certification. * Practice high standards of ethics, honesty, and accuracy. * Ensure resident/customer satisfaction. * Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends and holidays. * Operate equipment including mechanical lifts, shower equipment, adjustable chairs/beds, etc. * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, residents, resident's families, and the public.
Physical Demands:
* The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; pull, push, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch; smell; talk and hear. * The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. * Requests for reasonable accommodations may be made through Human Resources to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
