We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This full-time opportunity starts on Nov 24, 2025, and spans 65 days, offering day shifts from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The role includes a variety of primary care responsibilities in a medium security correctional facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call and patient rounding
  • Perform chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups
  • Participate in preventative care clinics
  • Complete infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed
  • Triage and manage trauma cases
  • Document patient encounters through charting notes
  • Manage medication refills
  • Support PA/NP lines in the morning (suture removal, follow-ups, etc.)
  • Address medication non-compliance issues with patients


Additional Information

  • Pennsylvania PA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Correctional healthcare experience is a plus
