Foley Dental in Coon Rapids, MN is looking for a licensed Dental Assistant to join our team.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to support quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
• Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols following OSHA and CDC recommendations
• Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed
• Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

About Foley Dental

• Join a 6-person team that values collaboration and community
• $32-36/hour
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (every other)

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Access to minimum PHI necessary for job duties; regular HIPAA training and data safeguards are required
• A Minnesota dental assisting license is required

Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years of experience
• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Dental assisting school certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
• Occasional virtual or in-person training sessions throughout the year
• A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions, arranged during the pre-employment process; not applicable in FL & TN
