Pay: $30 - 33/hr

Schedule: Day shift, Monday – Friday, 9 AM - 05:30 PM

Overview

Seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to provide patient care by collecting specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate documentation within Cerner. This role involves working with infants, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients in a professional healthcare setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare laboratory samples from patients of all ages.
• Perform routine laboratory testing and ensure accurate specimen handling.
• Identify and utilize the best method for retrieving specimens.
• Maintain proper documentation and charting in Cerner.
• Assist with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and report preparation.
• Submit and receive specimens and reports from laboratories as required.
• Clean and maintain the work area, and ensure that laboratory supplies are properly stocked.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Certification: ASCP, AMT, or equivalent board required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Experience with Cerner charting required
• Blood bank experience is preferred
• Experience in collecting newborn screening specimens is preferred
