AHF is a nonprofit organization that provides HIV/AIDS medical care, advocacy, and related services. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities in wellness clinics.
Responsibilities
- Present a friendly, helpful face to members seeking HIV testing and prevention services, STI screenings, and treatment in wellness clinics.
- Provide courteous, confidential, and professional support to members within wellness programs.
- Collect medical histories, manage tests and screenings, record vitals, and address health concerns.
- Facilitate patient registration, appointment management, and electronic chart creation.
- Document data accurately, including referrals and reports.
- Perform phlebotomy tasks (venipuncture and sample collection) and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as required.
- Maintain alignment with AHF Core Values and Mission in daily work.
- Work as part of a close-knit team to support comprehensive patient care and provide a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Phlebotomy certificate or Medical Assistant Diploma (MA Diploma) required.
- Phlebotomy skills including venipuncture and sample collection; ability to prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Proficiency in data documentation and electronic charting.
