The HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. The instructor will develop, deliver, and evaluate course content, including both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in HVACR. The role requires a commitment to ensuring students receive quality education, aligning with industry standards, and preparing them for careers in HVACR technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, lab demonstrations, and hands-on training in HVACR systems and technologies.
- Prepare course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVACR trends, codes, and industry advancements.
- Provide guidance and academic support to students.
- Maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to improve instructional methods and program offerings.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
- Required: Associate's degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R)
- EPA 608 Certification
- Preferred: Industry HVAC-R experience
- Teaching Experience
