This position performs human resources related duties in the following functional areas: Employee relations, recruiting/onboarding, HR policy, and training. This individual will be expected to set an example for staff in terms of work ethic, excellent internal customer service, and understanding the impact of actions and decisions to the bottom line and attitude towards investing in the future success of the Company. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will possess a BA or BS in Human Resources or similar degree and will have at least 4 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources. Selected candidate is preferred to be PHR/SPHR certified or be willing to obtain certification. This position also requires advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Maintain employee benefit programs.
  • Recruit and interview potential employees and advise on hiring decisions in accordance with polices and requirements that have been established.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement employee and company policies. Supervise updates and revisions to the employee handbook.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Provide guidance and support in counseling employees on work related disciplinary issues. Resolves discrepancies.
  • Assist employees in understanding, enrolling in, and maximizing their benefits.
  • Administer the update of job descriptions for employees.
  • Oversee the maintenance of files, both digital and hard copy, including personnel files and resumes received for positions.
  • Administer annual increases in retirement savings account contributions.
  • Oversee the provision of flexible spending accounts for health care and dependent care expenses.
  • Monitor the completion and retention of I-9 forms for all employees
  • Stay abreast of trends and best practices in human resources management
  • Communicate and coach employees on the company’s established human resources policies, procedures, standards, as well as, regulations and requirements under any applicable employment laws.
  • Willing to work in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned.
