Base pay and Schedule
Base pay range: $21.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Primary Responsibilities
- Responds to emergency calls such as minor maintenance or housekeeping, smoke and fire alarm calls, and pull cords.
- Maintains regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
- Empties and transports trash, recycling, and documents to be shredded to proper collection bins.
- Gathers and transports soiled linens to holding area using universal infection control safeguards.
- Dusts and disinfects surfaces in resident rooms, apartments, and offices.
- Performs general cleaning tasks including bathrooms, locker rooms, sinks, tubs/showers, toilets, urinals, windows, glass doors, light fixtures, vent covers and walls.
- Performs floor care including sweeping, damp-mopping, and vacuuming; stripes, refinishes (wax), and buffs high-speed on hard floor surfaces.
- Restocks supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap.
- Conducts resident security ring checks.
- Sets up rooms for events, including moving furniture.
- Changes out laundry room cleaning chemical containers.
- Performs swimming pool and facility cleaning tasks.
- Gathers and transports biohazardous waste and infectious linens to holding areas using universal infection control safeguards.
- Utilizes ladders to remove and rehang privacy curtains, sheers and drapes throughout the campus.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- One year janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to learn new procedures and techniques quickly.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently, independently or in a team.
- Ability to keep confidentiality; good judgment and common sense.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers in English.
