Accounting Manager – General Ledger | Middletown, DE

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our client's General Ledger (GL) accounting operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers the chance to step into a leadership position and oversee all transactional accounting functions while driving financial accuracy and compliance.

Base pay

$110,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor a team handling transactional accounting (AP, AR, payroll).
  • Manage GL accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Utilize SAP for accounting and reporting functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license OR strong manufacturing accounting experience.
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
