NIGHTS schedule. 7pm-7:30am. 3-12s/week, every other weekend shift (Friday and Saturday), and every other holiday.

Responsibilities

• The unit secretary is responsible and accountable for the daily clerical operations of the nursing unit, performs receptionist duties and maintains supplies/equipment for the unit.
• The unit secretary participates in a positive patient experience including supporting RNs in the delivery of patient care items and providing meal companionship to patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required upon hire
• Hospital Unit Secretary/Admin experience highly needed
• ER experience preferred, or other experience in a fast-paced environment
• Public contact and clerical experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions
• Knowledge of medical terminology will be important
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone needed
