Overview

Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group company, has an opportunity for a Dock Worker for our Gibbon, NE plant, but will be located at the freezer facility in Grand Island, NE.

As a Dock Worker, you will contribute to receiving, storage, and distribution of product while following food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Check, count, store, ship, and receive product to meet company standards.
  • Understand and follow the fundamentals of food safety, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and good warehousing practices.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, handling, and/or distribution of safe and quality food products at this facility.
  • Note: this description is not all inclusive; employees may perform other related duties to meet ongoing needs of the organization; such duties are considered marginal.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must have worked 6 consecutive months in the last 12 months.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) or on slippery surfaces, at varied heights, around moving equipment, with the use of PPE.
  • Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime; start times and hours vary based on production needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training in: Safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food defense, Pallet jack, Scan gun.
