Recruiting Sourcer (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary
We are excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for a role focused on sourcing and pipelining activities within the Microsoft Global Talent Acquisition organization. This position supports multiple teams and is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast‑paced environments while bringing a strategic mindset to hiring. As a remote contract role, it will initially last for 4 to 5 months with the potential for extension up to 18 months. The successful candidate will concentrate on scouting and sourcing Engineering and Go-to‑Market talent essential for building and selling Microsoft products, leveraging their proven track record of identifying and engaging hard‑to‑find competitive talent across various technical domains.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
- Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, and employee referrals.
- Screen applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills.
- Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
- Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities within the organization.
Requirements
- 6+ years of talent acquisition experience in a sourcing or recruiting capacity OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field.
- A good understanding of talent markets and candidate profiles with the ability to develop strategies to achieve hiring objectives under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in advanced sourcing strategies with proficiency across platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Scholar, Hugging Face, and other open‑source communities.
- Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time effectively.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Insights, and other sourcing tools, including creating sourcing strategies.
- Market analytics skills—capable of understanding the market for the roles being hired for and articulating this to recruiters, internal sponsors, and leadership.
- Ability to consistently deliver qualified, calibrated talent—with a target of at least 30 tech‑screened candidates for volume pipelines or 15 deeply qualified candidates for more specialized high‑bar roles per month.
- Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
