The firm is seeking a full-time Attorney Recruiting Assistant to join our Wilmington, Delaware office. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with all aspects of the recruiting process for summer associate, entry-level, lateral associate and clerkship hiring for our Wilmington office. We seek candidates who will work collaboratively with a team, while also handling individual responsibilities and adapting to rapidly changing priorities. The Attorney Recruiting Assistant will work closely with the Attorney Recruiting, Professional Development, Career Development and Diversity and Inclusion teams, but will also maintain strong relationships with the Wilmington hiring partners and office administrator to develop strategies for sourcing, attracting, hiring and retaining highly-talented and diverse candidates.
This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work closely with the Law School Attorney Recruiting team to assist with the planning and execution of the summer program, help monitor the budget, and plan and attend events for the Wilmington program.
- Work closely with the Clerkship Committee to plan, coordinate and execute clerkship events and hiring.
- Assist with collecting evaluations from summer work assignment system, coordinate mid-summer check-ins and end-of- summer reviews, and assist with the Wilmington summer associates' offer process.
- Handle all administrative aspects involved in on-campus, entry level and lateral recruiting, including registering for on-campus interview programs and job fairs, scheduling interviews, monitoring candidates throughout the process, coordinating follow-up efforts and the onboarding process for the Wilmington office.
- Help the team build strategic relationships with Career Services professionals, search firms, law school student groups, affinity groups and other educational institutions (including hosting and coordinating events in the office and on-campus for assigned schools) to advance the Firm's recruiting strategies.
- Collaborate with administrative departments to onboard and integrate new hires, including coordinating integration activities for Wilmington attorney hires.
- Work closely with the partner recruiting team to provide support for special projects as needed.
- Coordinate with the Diversity Equity and Inclusion team to advance the Firm's diversity hiring strategies and initiatives.
- Maintain recruiting records and generate reports from the Firm's Applicant Tracking System and Workday.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of one year of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues.
- Ability to set priorities, work independently and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints.
- Ability to understand unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of firm personnel as well as external clients, including search firms and vendors.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and creative with ability to make sound business decisions.
- Ability to follow and report on market trends in diversity, legal recruiting and retention.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
- Proficient with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and LawCruit/viRecruit
The primary location for this job posting is in Delaware. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $22.07 - $29.86 per hour.
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
