Meco Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support process development, continuous improvement, and new product introductions in our high-volume metal stamping, painting, and assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization Design
- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for stamping, painting, and assembly operations.
- Conduct time studies, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Tooling & Equipment Support
- Collaborate with tooling engineers and vendors on stamping dies and fixtures.
- Support paint line operations including pretreatment, coating, curing, and quality control.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automated assembly and robotic systems.
Quality and Compliance
- Ensure all processes meet ISO and IATF 16949 standards.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process-related issues.
- Support PPAP, FMEA, and control plan documentation.
Project Management
- Lead or support new product launches and engineering changes.
- Manage capital projects and cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
Data and Reporting
- Analyze production data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
- Report KPIs including productivity, scrap, downtime, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment—preferably metal stamping and painting.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process engineering tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems (a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with powder coating or electrocoating.
- Knowledge of GD&T and metal forming principles.
- Familiarity with MES and ERP systems (SAP, Plex preferred).
