The Sterile Processing Tech IIII is responsible and accountable for all activities and competencies related to sterile processing, supply, inventory, and equipment management. Ensures that instrumentation and equipment needed for surgery and various medical exams has been sterilized and assembled in accordance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policy. Ensures compliance with all record keeping requirements. Assists with ordering and procuring equipment and instrumentation as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education / experience. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date. Sterile Processing Tech Certification (CRCST, CPSPD) Four (4) years of direct experience in performing SPD duties in an acute care facility. Comprehensive SPD knowledge and advanced skill across a wide-variety of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment. Expert-level knowledge of the decontamination, disinfection and sterilization process of surgical instruments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of instrument tracking systems (SPM). Knowledge of sterilization records and documentation Experience and proficiency with EPIC. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CIS, CER, or CHL Certification from HSPA. Previous experience in a lead SPD role. SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $78,571 - $97,739 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $37.63 - $46.81 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
