As a
Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol
in
Commerce, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with personnel and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Your role contributes to a secure environment through teamwork, reliability, and a caring approach, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first and acting with integrity. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the chemical or petrochemical location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for potential hazards or irregularities. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious circumstances or incidents. Communicate observations, incidents, and/or unusual circumstances to appropriate personnel, following established protocols. Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and concerns. Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and/or any actions taken during the shift. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
