Aon is looking for an Associate Partner in Sales Force Effectiveness. As an SFE Associate Partner, you will be responsible for managing multiple client engagements, building relationships with senior business leaders to generate revenue, and leading a team of associates and consultants in delivering high‑quality sales effectiveness solutions. The role plays a key part in developing the technical/consulting skills of team members, solving complex business problems, creating commercially leverageable intellectual content, maintaining relationships with Fortune 1000 senior executives, and converting project leads into profitable billings.

This position may be located in Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; and other locations.

Responsibilities

Create and implement a business strategy to penetrate local and regional markets, bringing new clients to the firm to meet annual revenue goals.

Bill between $750,000 and $850,000 per fiscal year.

Sell at least $1.25 million in consulting engagements.

Build a team of SFE consultants who master Aon’s consulting competencies, tools, and methodologies, and develop them toward self‑sufficiency.

Develop a market platform with sizable opportunity and repeatable revenue streams.

Lead Sales Effectiveness and Rewards engagements, developing leveraged teams that work together effectively.

Build the SFE brand at Aon through research, methodology development, publishing, and speaking initiatives.

Technical Expertise: mastery of sales force effectiveness concepts and analytical techniques, development of new tools, and technical leadership.

Eye for Business: deep understanding of client business models across industries, life‑cycle phases, and geographies, demonstrated through insightful questioning and groundbreaking concepts.

Communication: clear, compelling communication, active listening, constructive feedback, and the ability to move an audience with vision.

Leadership: role modeling, resource marshalling, planning, obstacle removal, and championing worthy causes.

Relationship Development: building valuable business relationships with clients, senior and junior resources, and allies, yielding financial return on investment.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of work experience.

At least 8 years of consulting experience.

Experience as a sales professional is preferred but not required.

Demonstrated track record of client sales and successful complex engagements.

Strong client relationship management skills.

Strong analytical skills: synthesizing data, developing insights, solving problems.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively to introduce valuable services.

Keen business insight and proven ability to align clients’ strategies with SFE rewards/talent programs.

Influence senior management across all levels of an organization.

Strong communication skills, written and oral.

Preferred Requirements Additional preferred qualifications include:

Experience in sales or related fields.

Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Capability to grow business and identify new opportunities.

Pay Transparency The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $225,000 to $250,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, and location. This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan with discretionary bonus.
