Your New Role…

CNN Newsource is seeking a seasoned

Technical Director

to join the CNN Worldwide Headquarters in Atlanta. This critical role supports the production and delivery of customized editorial broadcast and digital content to our vast global affiliate client network. You’ll be at the heart of live shot execution, content editing, and technical direction—ensuring our affiliate clients receive timely, high-quality news packages, live segments, and digital offerings.

Your Role Accountabilities… Direct and edit daily packages on deadline, live shots, and interactive content in a fast-paced news environment. Operate in an HD/Non-Linear editing setup to produce and distribute content. Manage affiliate and client requests both onsite and remotely. Route content to clients and affiliates, ensuring technical and editorial integrity. Book and access satellite feeds. Collaborate with correspondents, producers, and field crews to deliver customized content. Maintain strong relationships with affiliates and internal teams, providing excellent customer service. Adapt to a 24/7 news cycle with flexibility in scheduling and responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience… Bachelor’s degree in Television Production or a related field or equivalent in experience. Proven experience in non-linear editing and technical directing within a news environment. Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a client-focused setting. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Highly motivated and adaptable to evolving technologies and workflows. Positive attitude and collaborative spirit when working with internal teams and external partners.
