We have an outstanding Contract position for aStock Clerkto join a leading Company located in theVan Nuys, CAsurrounding area.
Pay Rate: $18 - $21
Performs various types of product packing and shipping in accordance with established procedures and/or commercial standards; receives and stocks incoming equipment, materials, and supplies, and prepares shipments.
Responsibilities :
Processes all inbound and outbound shipments, including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping
Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match the order
Packs and labels products based on established standards
Ensures that proper equipment, documents, and accessories are shipped with the correct order
Prepares shipping and receiving documentation and maintains orderly files for all documentation
Participates in the scheduling of daily transportation
Processes all receiving transactions and paperwork
Inspects all incoming freight for damage and follows up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues
Operates forklift and pallet jack
Assists in responses to requests for tracing of missing shipments
Assists in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in the shipping area
Performs required administrative tasks and prepares required reports and correspondence
Performs other duties as assigned by the manager
Basic Hiring Criteria :
High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience
Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience
Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
Duties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detail
Computer Skills: Familiar with the Windows Operating System- and with MRP systems is strongly desired
