Software Development Engineering - Professional II

What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Professional II do at Fiserv?

You will design, develop and maintain production-quality software and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and client needs.

What you will do:

Design, develop and implement software applications that support business and client requirements.

Collaborate with product, QA and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs.

Write, test and debug high-quality code to ensure performance, reliability and security.

Maintain and enhance existing codebases, resolve defects and improve system performance.

Participate in peer code reviews and produce clear technical documentation.

What you should have:

3+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years working with COBOL and IBM utilities.

1+ year experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, C, C#, or C++ and 1+ year with DB2 (SQL) databases.

1+ year experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and 1+ year with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

1+ year experience working in Agile teams; equivalent combinations of education, related experience or military service considered.

What would be great to have:

1+ year experience in the financial services industry (preferred).
