Job Title: HR Coordinator
Job Description
The HR Coordinator assists in various human resource functions such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, personnel records management, conducting employee orientation programs, and policy enforcement. This role involves leading recruiting efforts, managing the onboarding process, and facilitating employee events. Additionally, the HR Coordinator ensures compliance with employment laws and handles employment-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
Lead recruiting efforts by facilitating job openings, coordinating with recruiting agencies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background /reference checks, testing, and follow-through communications on candidates and the stages in the process.
Manage the onboarding process for direct hires and temporary employees, and lead orientation.
Assist in the planning, coordination, and facilitation of annual events such as Employee Appreciation Day and Holiday Party.
Transmit payroll and salary changes to the accounting team and benefit carriers when applicable.
Reconcile monthly invoicing of benefits.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the executive team.
Aid in monthly newsletter content creation.
Facilitate the administration of leave paperwork when applicable.
Assist in yearly compliance reporting such as ACA and EEO.
Maintain personnel files for employees.
Manage the offboarding process, including coordinating exit interviews, equipment collection, final pay details, and termination paperwork.
Update documents and links that are shared with the staff.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience in human resources, onboarding, and recruiting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS (ADP Workforce Now).
6 months to 1 year of HR Coordination or HR Generalist experience.
Bachelor's degree or PHR or HR certification preferred.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. After 6 months of training and conversion, there is the possibility of a hybrid schedule allowing for 2 days of remote work per week, depending on business needs.
