Overview Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Production Manager to support original film productions globally. The Production Manager will work alongside executives to oversee budgets, schedules, and overall production plans for motion pictures, collaborating closely with internal partners including Post‑Production, Business Affairs, and Creative Development.
Key Job Responsibilities
Work in tandem with executives to oversee projects from development through post
Collaborate with producers and creative executives to assess budgets, production plans, and schedules, including analysis of production risks and budget/schedule impacts
Partner with internal teams (finance, post, VFX, music, casting, Business Affairs) to develop budgets and schedules
Travel to set as needed to evaluate workflow, budgets and potential challenges
Analyze budgets and cost reports
Act as liaison between Studio and productions
Manage cross‑departmental meetings with Studio teams and filmmakers to ensure consistent policy implementation
Edit and maintain Production Manual with current policies and procedures
Assist in hiring executive producers, UPMs, and key department heads
Create and maintain key departmental documents
Oversee wrap delivery for global productions
Manage additional photography or reshoot requirements
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of producer, production manager or line producer experience
3+ years of budgeting, scheduling and cost reporting experience
3+ years of overseeing and managing projects and deadlines experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with local guilds and unions
Experience working on international productions
Able to recognize an opportunity or need based on industry expertise
Exceptional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Exceptional project management skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $76,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $163,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
