IT Controls Engineering Manager
to oversee the design, programming, and integration of
automation and control systems
supporting advanced manufacturing and R&D operations. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for a professional passionate about

Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of
controls engineers, automation specialists, and IT/OT professionals
supporting manufacturing operations and product development.
Develop and execute the company’s
automation strategy , focusing on control system standardization, scalability, and efficiency.
Design, program, and validate
PLC, HMI, motion control, and robotic systems
using platforms such as
Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff .
Oversee development and maintenance of
SCADA systems ,
data acquisition , and
machine monitoring
tools to support real‑time analytics, traceability, and predictive maintenance.
Integrate
automation systems with MES, ERP, and manufacturing execution platforms
to ensure seamless data exchange across production environments.
Ensure
secure and reliable IT/OT integration , including industrial networking, firewalls, cybersecurity protocols, and system redundancy.
Maintain compliance with
ISO, CE/UL, SEMI S2/S8, and functional safety standards , ensuring systems meet regulatory and customer expectations.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with
process engineering, R&D, and operations
teams to improve system uptime, quality, and performance.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables for automation and control systems development.
Support
factory acceptance tests (FAT) , audits, and
customer system validations .
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in
Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems , or a related field.
8+ years of experience
in
industrial controls, automation engineering, and system integration , including
3+ years in a leadership or management capacity .
Hands‑on experience with
PLC programming, SCADA configuration, robotics, and motion control systems .
Strong knowledge of
industrial networking protocols
such as
EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC‑UA, and SECS/GEM .
Proven experience integrating equipment controls with
MES and ERP systems
in high‑tech or cleanroom manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams and manage multiple automation projects simultaneously.
Expertise in
cybersecurity for industrial control systems
and adherence to IT/OT safety and compliance standards.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
