Position Purpose Co‑ops are full‑time team members who are fully integrated into the Energy Markets and Sustainability Services team and participate in projects, client meetings, and more. Every co‑op’s experience will vary based on their interests.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Evaluate customer energy usage profiles and forward markets to advise commercial and industrial customers on procurement of natural gas and electricity.

Manage and author articles for biweekly energy market update newsletters, staying up to date with current events and price drivers.

Develop Excel‑based energy market analytical models incorporating historical data, futures contracts, and cost inputs for internal use and client presentations.

Develop client energy budgets, evaluate contract performance, model tariffs, and audit energy invoices.

Perform procurement activities such as creating RFPs, assisting with hedging strategies, communicating with customers and suppliers, and supporting advisory calls, including green energy procurements (RECs, carbon offsets, PPAs).

Create presentation materials for market updates covering supply, demand, storage, weather forecasts, and regulatory developments.

Conduct market research on utility tariffs, supplier terms, state laws, and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.

Prior experience in energy or an energy‑adjacent field is preferred.

Strong analytical capabilities.

Strong interest in energy markets and sustainability.

Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Curiosity and a willingness to learn.

Proficiency with Excel.

A self‑starter attitude.

Pay Range $26.00 per hour.
