About This Role Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Electrical Engineer 2. In this role you will lead and contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for medical devices. You’ll work across all phases of the product development lifecycle—from concept to manufacturing transfer—ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations. What You Will Do
Design, develop, and test electrical hardware for medical and diagnostic devices.
Execute prototype development, testing plans, and documentation.
Perform embedded system integration, testing, and debugging across various platforms.
Author and contribute to technical and risk management documentation.
Write production test procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Introduce and implement new electronics design tools and test equipment.
Interface with vendors and lead technical discussions.
Serve as a subject matter expert on medical technology standards.
Mentor peers and contribute to the vision and goals of the electrical engineering function.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the medical device industry.
Strong knowledge of circuit design, digital interfaces, rapid prototyping, simulation, debugging, and automated hardware testing.
Familiarity with medical device, diagnostic, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards.
Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask, estimate tasks, and solve moderate to complex technical problems.
Experience with embedded systems and hardware/software integration.
Knowledge of safety and EMC collateral standards for medical devices.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and manage multiple projects.
