SharePoint Online Developer III
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Online Developer III. You will play a key role in driving the design and implementation of SharePoint site pages for a Fortune 100 client’s Public Sector teams. Your deep knowledge and hands‑on experience with SharePoint will enable you to create scalable, robust, and efficient solutions that align with our client’s business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including sales, business operations, business analysts, developers, and project managers—to ensure successful project delivery.
This remote position is a full‑time, salaried role that may require some initial on‑site travel for engagement. A Public Trust Clearance is required, and the selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident who has lived in the U.S. for at least three years. SEIS participates in the E‑Verify program to validate authorization to work in the United States.
Role and Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and document SharePoint Online solutions that leverage both custom and out‑of‑the‑box functionality, including modern site pages, web parts, and templates.
Develop and test PowerShell scripts with PnP to automate SharePoint Online tasks.
Use Power Automate to streamline processes.
Work closely with client teams to identify requirements and implement SharePoint solutions that meet business needs and enhance user navigation.
Support client SharePoint administration, management, and enhancements.
Provide daily support, including managing user access, site development, and SharePoint troubleshooting.
Collect data and monitor usage of SharePoint sites and lists.
Analyze and resolve performance, data, software, server, and usage problems using project‑management and development skills.
Collaborate with client teams to automate workflows and improve business processes while ensuring all changes meet functional and security requirements.
Create sites, templates, workflows, lists, and libraries to support team initiatives.
Develop and deliver training, communications, and tutorials to support clients on SharePoint functionality, procedures, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with multiple development and administration teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.
Assist in collecting and identifying functional requirements.
Leverage new approaches to system design and functionality.
Integrate solutions with various data sources, such as SharePoint, MS SQL Server, Oracle, cloud services, and third‑party applications.
Work with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visual design, and user experience.
Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive‑level stakeholders.
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, IT, Business Analytics, or related technical field.
Strong hands‑on, demonstrable experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 3 years of experience in SharePoint Online design and development.
Minimum 1 year of experience in PowerShell with PnP scripting.
Experience creating and modifying SharePoint Online features such as site pages, lists, libraries, and views.
Experience gathering requirements and interacting with clients.
Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications.
Understanding of browser‑specific compatibility issues.
Expertise in user‑centric software design and deployment, with focus on usability.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online, PowerApps, Power Automate, and PowerBI.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all stakeholder levels.
