Practice Overview Eye and Contact Lens Associates, founded in 1960, offers comprehensive eye care including medical exams, contact lens fittings and glaucoma screening. The office has four modern exam rooms, a digital retinal camera, OCT, visual field equipment, and cloud‑based EHR software.
Full‑Time Associate Optometrist Opening The role requires practicing full‑scope optometry under South Carolina Board regulations. Approximately 25–30 patients are seen daily, plus on‑call emergency consults. Weekly hours: 36, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Mon–Thu) with lunch break, and 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on Fridays.
Responsibilities Lead patient care by applying clinical judgement, documenting medical records, fitting contact lenses, providing comprehensive eye exams, and developing treatment plans in accordance with state regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Optometry license in South Carolina
Pharmaceutical therapeutic agents license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience fitting all types of contact lenses
Proficiency in all medical eye care authorized per South Carolina State Board rules
