Position Summary The
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
oversees all plant engineering functions, leading a team responsible for
process design, improvement, and equipment development . This role is both strategic and hands‑on—balancing day‑to‑day manufacturing support with project management for innovation, growth, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
You’ll collaborate with plant leadership to enhance safety, quality, and operational performance while mentoring a team of engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the
manufacturing engineering team , ensuring alignment with plant goals in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement metrics for plant performance, scrap reduction, and equipment reliability.
Manage and prioritize engineering projects, balancing daily production support with long‑term improvement initiatives.
Oversee process design, process improvement, and equipment development, particularly within extrusion and hydraulic systems.
Serve as Project Manager for major cross‑functional initiatives tied to new product introductions, capacity expansion, and innovation.
Support plant 5S and Safety programs, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and quality teams to troubleshoot production challenges and implement robust solutions.
Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for key capital and process improvement projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
(Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical required).
7+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with proven leadership experience.
Hands‑on experience in metal or plastic extrusion and hydraulic systems strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in engineering management, process improvement, and cross‑functional leadership.
Experience managing continuous improvement programs and plant performance metrics.
Strong technical problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa transfer available.
