As a Senior Network Technology Support, you will provide network engineering support for the overall reliability and operations of AT&T’s Enterprise data centers. You will perform lifecycle management functions to deliver platform enhancements that span multiple platforms and technology environments, and understand the end‑to‑end service to support underlying technologies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Works closely with project teams consisting of Design & Architecture, Planning, Project Management and others on specific solution designs and implementations
Provide network engineering support to maintain and upgrade the enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco IOS, NXOS, NDFC, etc.)
Provide testing and ongoing sustainment of networking infrastructure environments
Ensure strict adherence to change control methodologies, network configuration and compliance standards
Required Experience
3‑5 years’ experience
Experience provisioning of network switches and routing devices, emphasis on Cisco configuration experience (NXOS, IOS, IOS‑XR, etc.) in enterprise class data centers
Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role
Desired Education
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Sciences or Operations preferred
Desired Certifications
Network Certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), including Security preferred
Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in network technologies including infrastructures (switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, WAN architectures, load‑balancing, DNS, wireless, VoIP, etc.)
Analytical and complex problem‑solving skills; troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system‑wide issues, including application issues, network issues and vulnerability mitigation
Proven ability to drive results in oneself and others; ability to manage time, resources and priorities; develop plans, work through adversity and consistently meet deadlines and produce effective results
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in all business relationships and various levels of management in a clear and direct manner
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork traits
Adeptness in working in close cooperation with teammates; ability to build solid working relationships across functional boundaries
Capacity to work through difficult issues in an effective, pragmatic fashion and to negotiate with tact and persuasiveness; ability to foster strong vendor and partner relationships
Environmental Requirements This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.
Salary: $94,300 – $141,500 annually (depending on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training).
